What does it cost to have an eye test at Curtis Optometrists?
Examinations at Curtis Optometrists are not fully covered under Medicare and there will be a private fee for the extra testing and scans that you cannot claim back from Medicare Australia or your private health fund.
Fees below include retinal photography and OCT scans.
Regular eye examination
Initial examination – concession (Pension, Health Care Card, Student, etc)
Existing examination – concession (Pension, Health Care Card, Student, etc)
$0-$50 depending on tests involved
Contact lens examination
Initial examination – Existing contact lens wearer no change to lens type
Initial examination – Existing contact lens wearer when lens type needs to be changed
Initial examination- For new contact lens wearer, includes coaching on insertion and removal and lens care
$0-50 depending on tests involved
What should I bring to my appointment?
- Your current glasses and/or contact lenses
- If you want your contact lenses to be checked please come wearing them.
- If you want a new prescription for glasses but also wear contact lenses please wear your glasses (at least for a few hours beforehand) but bring your contact lenses so we can check them too
- Your Medicare card and any private health insurance card (Pensioners)
- A list of any medication you take
Is there anyone else at home that might need their eyes tested too?

Where are you located?
Just off Warwick Road in Greenwood. Our address is 9/9 Coolibah Drive, Greenwood WA.
We are between the BP Petrol Station and the Greenwood Hotel. There is parking in front of the shop, however if it is too busy then there is plenty of parking at the rear of the building.
